Hagg Lake is only 10 minutes from home. It provides me with an endless variety of landscapes every season of the year. I arrived last week to find myself in the company of of some stunning fall foliage and few lone fishermen (and women).

This landscape of the geese returning to their wetlands home is similar in color to my home decor! Mixed cool and warm blues / bluish purples accented with pinks and reds and hints of green. So at home I can still feel myself out in nature resonating with homelands of wildlife.

This was so much fun to paint. Stuck inside with a nasty head cold all last week I got up one evening when my head cleared a bit and got out my sketchbook. I felt so inspired, maybe it was just all the cold medicine making the paint flow free and looser than usual!
