Sketches from the garden

Two 7 x 9 acryl gouache sketches I did in my backyard yesterday. It was bit cooler, under 90 and overcast with soft light on the flowers.

I am planning a paint and camp at the coast as soon as weather turns a bit warmer and some of our house projects get completed. I have my eye on Whalen Island and Cape Lookout, both a short driving distance from Forest Grove. While I am waiting I did these 2 small paintings from my sketchbook.
